Reflections from Roy Denlinger

Reflections from Roy Denlinger

Many of the CPS camps were located in isolated areas. Roy K. Denlinger spent time in a side camp at Glacier National Park:

"We three [with Arthur Liebolt, James Weaver] spent four months during the summer of 1944 in the Waterton district which is one of Belton’s most isolated and most beautiful spots.”

“Our cabin was 5 miles south of this Waterton Lake and accessible only by trail.”

“Life in a side camp is at times lonely, especially when mail arrives one month late sometimes.”
