    9 C.O.’s are serving as ‘guinea pigs’ in experiments at the University of Minnesota to determine international standards regarding the minimum amount of vitamins necessary to sustain healthy adult life. Results should be valuable in making possible better use of available supplies, especially during the postwar period. Summary:

CPS Unit No. 115, subunit 19, located at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, subjected CPS men to experiments studying treatments for malaria.

 

Dr. L. F. Hamilton (and possibly Dr. Foster?) directed this ORD experiment studying treatments for malaria sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Beginning in November 1945 and concluding in February 1946, the study involved one man, Curtis Kyle Packer.
