CPS Unit No. 115, subunit 14, located at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York, subjected CPS men to experiments in the effects of cold weather.
Dr. Wallace O. Fenn and Dr. E. F. Adolph directed this OSRD project on the effects of cold weather, diet and altitude on increased pulmonary pressure. The University of Rochester School of Medicine (at Srong Memorial Hospital?) sponsored the project which ran from February 1944 through February 1946 and the Brethren Service Committee provided agency oversight. Four to fifteen men at a time volunteered for the experiment.
